Modern History/Current Events
Continued from Contact in the Desert Conference 2014, Part 2
Dr. Michael Salla founded the Exopolitics Institute in 2005. “Exopolitics,” as defined on his website, is “the study of the key individuals, political institutions, and processes associated with extraterrestrial life.” Originally a scholar of international politics who specialized in ethnic conflicts in Kosovo, East Timor, and Sri Lanka, Dr. Salla devoted his research to exopolitics after being convinced of the reality of extraterrestrial life in 2001.
Dr. Salla spoke about the material in his most recent book, Kennedy’s Last Stand: Eisenhower, UFOs, MJ-12 & JFK’s Assassination (extensive book review here). In the lecture, he made a cogent case for a link between John F. Kennedy’s assassination and the UFO/extraterrestrial contact phenomenon.
ERICH VON DANIKEN
Erich von Daniken gave the opening talk for the conference. As the author of the book Chariots of the Gods published way back in 1968, he first popularized the ancient astronauts theory. According to Wikipedia, the ancient astronauts theory posits that intelligent extraterrestrial beings visited Earth and made contact with humans in antiquity and prehistory, which influenced the development of human cultures, technologies, and religions. Of Swiss origin, von Daniken is quite a captivating story-teller and a dedicated archeologist.
I went to my first UFO conference: Contact in the Desert 2014, on August 8-11, in Joshua Tree, CA. It’s estimated that approximately 2000 people attended this conference, double the attendance from the previous year. I’d like to share my thoughts about the experience, and a little of what I learned.
Have you watched Monsters, Inc., a very entertaining Disney Pixar movie for children? My goodness, talk about a movie with a veiled message! In this movie, monsters generate power for their city by capturing energy from the screams of human children whom they scare at night. By the end of the movie, because of a friendship between one little human girl and a monster, the monsters end up harvesting the energy from human children’s laughter—a much more powerful energy source—by performing comedy acts for the children at night.
Yes, it is much more pleasant to be awakened to a comedy act than to a fright. But we’re still being woken up in the middle of the night, and giving away our energy unwittingly, aren’t we (even if this energy is ultimately used “for our own good”)? We’re not children. Wouldn’t we rather walk into a comedy club through our own choice, and consciously contribute our energy toward our own chosen purpose? Continue reading

Good and Bad
What is duality? What is good? What is bad? One of the characteristics that I most appreciated about Matias de Stefano’s video Ater Tumti is Matias’s very balanced treatment of good and bad.
About good and bad, Matias says (beginning, video 4/8):
What we know as “evil,” which is not really evil, can even reach high dimensions like the 18th dimension, for example. It does not mean evil– just another way of working, another way of evolving. Light evolves through freedom, self-control, free will, support, and allows a lot of time for the process. On the other hand, “evil” or darkness is another way of evolving that establishes deadlines– quick deadlines. You have to learn this in a year; if you don’t, something bad will happen. So, it’s just another process to evolve, and because humans understand things through morality, it’s not a very well-understood level on Earth. But it’s another way of evolving more quickly, and many people decide to choose it.

The available literature on galactic history is replete with stories of the conflicts, wars, and mass-scale decimations that took place among the galactic civilizations eons ago. Although there are many excellent sources that tell aspects and details of these conflicts (for example, presentations by Alex Collier and books by Zecharia Sitchin), the source that I have found that describes the overall story from the highest “bird’s eye view” is the book The Prism of Lyra: An Exploration of Human Galactic Heritage, by Lyssa Royal and Keith Priest. The book talks about the creation of the galactic family from the fragmentation of the One Consciousness, and about polarized reality (duality) being encoded in our original galactic blueprint. The integration of the positivity and the negativity—through the interaction of the two polarities—is a route for our growth, a way for us to integrate back to the Source, the One Consciousness. Disclosure. How will it happen? The real question here may be: How are WE allowing it to happen?
Disclosure can occur in many ways. It may not be the momentous announcement by our President or the leader of another nation that many have been expecting. In fact, it looks more and more likely that disclosure is already underway— as a “soft” disclosure. Besides the recent channeled messages from the galactic and enlightened beings pointing to this situation, the biggest evidence for disclosure that we can see in our world is the growing outflow of information about our involvement with extraterrestrial beings, along with information about what has been going on behind the scenes in our world— in our financial system, media, and governments. This rapidly-growing outflow of information is a combination of at least two factors: 1) the very brave work of witnesses, whistle-blowers, experiencers, and alternative and citizen journalists on the (thus far) unbridled Internet, and 2) the gradual lifting of the suppression of information flow. Events like those listed in part 1 of this post series show that information— such as formerly-classified UFO files released by governments, and meetings of high-profile organizations discussing extraterrestrials in “plain view” of the public— is being allowed to seep into the mainstream population, desensitizing the public to the likelihood of intelligent extraterrestrial life engaging with us. The mainstream media now reports on unidentified aerial phenomena without ending with the obligatory joke or laughter. Significantly, some high-impact, independent efforts that widely broadcast information classified at the highest levels of secrecy (a prime example being Project Camelot) have not been “terminated” as they may have been in the past, the inference being that these efforts are being protected and/or allowed to continue (Unfortunately, not all are).
